Student Testimonials

“I love this studio.  As others have said, it’s the perfect size.  It’s always spotlessly clean, and the props are in good condition and neatly organized, and it has beautiful plants and plenty of windows.  The layout is such that you are always greeted by a friendly smiling face when you walk in – a very personable vibe that’s missing from some other studios.

I think I’ve taken classes from pretty much all the instructors by now, and even though they are all really different, I could not pick a favorite as they are all so talented, kind and creative in their practice.

I will say that when I’m feeling a bit stressed or ill-tempered and need a calming practice then I love Adi’s classes, and when I’m feeling energetic and want to do something that will help me grow, then I really look forward to Alia’s.

They have prenatal yoga, yoga for parents of infants, yoga for kids and beginner’s yoga.  I actually think a beginner could feel at home in almost any of the classes though.

Then factor in free parking, Columbia City Bakery across the street, Geraldine’s Counter or Lottie’s Lounge for breakfast, some nice little shops in the neighborhood, Seward Park 10 minutes away… you could not ask for more.”

“I love this place and have been going here for almost 2 years. All of the teachers are very supportive and classes are very reliable. I usually take the day-time classes and I never have any problem with the level of instruction or the class not meeting. There is an area upstairs where you can change your clothes before the class, it gets full if you come in a bit late/near the class start. Otherwise, I think they keep everything organized and clean. The studio is always very clean and props are there for you to use (I think not having to lug my yoga mat is a big plus!). There are always plenty of organic wipes to clean and sanitize the props before/after use.

I think the price is very affordable, even on a student budget like mine, especially if you buy a series of classes “punch card.” When they knew I was a student at UW, they gave me a student discount, and I remembered that they even lowered the price for the classes during the turn of the economic downfall. Where can you find a business that do so nowadays?

Parking can get tight during the day, but usually I have no problem finding one on the street behind the studio (next to the birthing center). But no matter what happen, every time I come back home from the class, I always feel so much better than when I walk into the class: rejuvenated and refreshed.”
